Umasbamba andean village

Program Inca Dreams

"LIVING THE ANDEAN TRADITIONS"

ONE DAY TOUR
We pick you up from your hotel around 6:30am to leave Cusco at 7am. We have 1 hour by private transportation to the Andean village of Umasbamba, located in the picturesque valley of Chinchero, next to the amazing Waypo lagoon, a beautiful landscape surrounded by Andean vegetation and snowy peaks, Aprox. At 8am. the local people will receive us in one of their typical houses, you will be able to enjoy a traditional folkdance for your welcome, after that, they will show you how to prepare the wool to be weave, step by step, giving natural colors to the clothes, where you can participate trying to do your own cloth.
At mid day they will serve Andean food consisting on maiz, potatoes, guinea pig, Andean cereals like Quinoa, etc. after a resting you will visit the village and you will be able to participate in the farming activities, picking up potatoes or any available and ripe product, around 6 pm we return to Cusco. End of our services.

PROGRAM 02 DAYS
PROGRAM "LIVING THE ANDEAN TRADITIONS"

Day 02. - At 7 am. you will enjoy a hearty breakfast, then we have a tour in the village to continue around the lagoon for 2 -3 hours, during this walking (or horse riding optional) you may see a variety of Andean birds, plants, and over all enjoying the landscape, we come back for Andean lunch.
The afternoon has two options; fishing in the lake or playing football with the local people, around 6 pm return to Cusco or continue to the sacred valley if you want to connect your tour to the Inca trail or the visit to Machupicchu
